    The Kolkata Film & Television Institute (The KFTI) offers various types of courses such as Acting, Film Direction, Editing, Script Writing, Cinematography, News Reading Anchoring, R-Jing & Podcasting and many more to the students belonging to the areas all over West Bengal as well as Bangladesh. Students can learn the concepts of art, craft and business of film making , OTT and all new forms of media . Couses here are designed in an unique and convenient way. Teaching is provided keeping in mind the form of classical and professional level and also the ever-changing innovation and values thereby giving students a three dimensional practical approach in the field. As we all know West Bengal has a long storied history in cinema and has also marked its name for its aesthethics, charms, culture and beauty, The KFTI has also marked its name remarkable in the field of professional training.     Our Programs

    Film Direction

    Course duration is 1 year.

    It includes film language, film appreciation, technique of writing for film, film direction , videography & practical, editing practical, meeting a film maker, audiography, lighting practical & camera exercise. Dynamisation theory & practical ( Guided Exercise) , Make up practical, Study of documentary films including 2 different class exercise , song picturisation & playback ( Guided Exercise) , Documentary Film Exercise (project) & course end film production (Project).

    Acting

    Course duration is 10 months

    It includes film language, film appreciation, technique of writing for film, film direction , videography & practical, editing practical, meeting a film maker, audiography, lighting practical & camera exercise. Dynamisation theory & practical ( Guided Exercise) , Make up practical, Study of d ocumentary films including 2 different class exercise , song picturisation & playback ( Guided Exercise) , Documentary Film Exercise (project) & course end film production (Project).

    Child Acting

    Course duration is 12 months.

    It includes film language, film appreciation, technique of writing for film, film direction , videography & practical, editing practical, meeting a film maker, audiography,
    lighting practical & camera exercise. Dynamisation theory & practical ( Guided
    Exercise) , Make up practical, Study of documentary films including 2 different class
    exercise , song picturisation & playback ( Guided Exercise) , Documentary Film Exercise
    (project) & course end film production (Project).

    Film Editing

    Course duration is 8 months..


    It includes film language, film appreciation, technique of writing for film, film direction , videography & practical, editing practical, meeting a film maker, audiography, lighting practical & camera exercise. Dynamisation theory & practical

    Cinematography

    Course duration is 8 months .

    News Reading , Anchoring, R-J ing & Podcasting

    Course duration is 6 months.

    Introduction to news, history of journalism, news gathering skill, structure of news bulletin, camera rehearsals ,voice, modulation, personality development skills, introduction of Radio & R-Jing , live show hosting links & taking calls, makeup , grooming, fashion, hosting & anchoring. Podcasting covers topics such as content creation, audio recording, editing, and strategies for improving the strength of the audience.

    Modelling & Grooming

    Course duration is 3 months

    An introduction to the fundamentals of modelling like fashion modelling, ramp walking, posing and posture etc. as well as a strong understanding of the modelling industry. Grooming course is well designed to equip the learners with vital knowledge and skills in grooming and etiquette which is crucial for both personal and professional interactions.

    Screenplay Writing

    Course duration is 4 months.

    It includes film language, film appreciation, technique of writing for film, film direction , videography & practical, editing practical, meeting a film maker, audiography, lighting practical & camera exercise. Dynamisation theory & practical ( Guided Exercise) , Make up practical, Study of documentary films including 2 different class exercise , song picturisation & playback (Guided Exercise) , Documentary Film Exercise (project) & course end film production (Project).
